United Way donations support charitable activities
In addition, Juno House Foundation has set up a unique Mandate Agreement with the United Way of Calgary and Area (http://www.calgaryunitedway.org/) in an effort to assist the United Way to achieve its objective of improving lives and building extraordinary communities by engaging individuals and mobilizing collective action.
This unique agreement allows donors to direct their charitable donations through United Way of Calgary to the Juno House Foundation, and receive a charitable receipt for their donations to United Way/Juno House Foundation. Tax receipts will be issued by United Way, in accordance with Canadian Customs and Revenue Agency guidelines.
The Juno House Foundation uses these directed charitable donations to provide sliding-scale, fee-for-service counselling services for adolescent girls and young women, and their family members.
